Georgia Small Business Leaders React to Vice President’s Visit to Atlanta

GA small business members in the Small Business for America’s Future network react to Vice President Kamala Harris’s visit to the state following the State of the Union

Atlanta, GA, Feb. 8, 2023—Today, Vice President Kamala Harris visited Atlanta to meet with small business leaders to discuss creating good jobs in the clean energy economy.

Here’s what Georgia small business owners are saying:

“I was glad to see Vice President Kamala Harris talking about policies that combat climate change and stimulate a clean energy economy that will help boost small businesses while addressing one of the most pressing problems of our time.  Things are looking up for the economy and we need to continue making smart investments that will help us all.”
Shekita Maxwell

“The Inflation Reduction Act fights the climate crisis while helping small businesses. Investing in clean energy helps communities by creating new jobs, providing contracting opportunities for small businesses and spurring economic growth. It is no surprise that a Small Business for America’s Future survey found that 74% of small business owners support the Act, which invests in the clean energy economy.”

“Green jobs are great jobs. Small businesses all over the country are having to adapt to the challenges of climate change, and it’s great to see the Biden-Harris administration continue to support small businesses and make smart investments that help us participate in building climate resilience while creating new opportunities for job creation and growth.”
