Small Business Group Applauds Brian Deese’s Leadership As Director of National Economic Council as He Transitions Out of the Role

Small Business for America’s Future Co-Chair Anne Zimmerman Founder & Owner, Zimmerman & Co. CPAs in Cincinnati and Cleveland  comments on Brian Deese’s leadership as he announces he is stepping down as Director of the National Economic Council. He was appointed by President Biden in 2021.

February 2, 2023– We applaud Brian Deese as he prepares for the next chapter in his career.

As Director of the National Economic Council he played a key role in negotiations for the Infrastructure Law and  helped gain support for the CHIPS and Science Act. Both pieces of legislation were backed by lawmakers in both parties. He also helped promote more equitable access of relief during the second round of PPP, ensuring the smallest businesses were not shut out of efforts.

Small Business for America’s Future is looking forward to working with the next leader of the council.
